You can’t get rid of face wrinkles by reading reviews on wrinkle cream, but sometimes, you can learn a lot. I have to warn you, though; it isn’t always “pretty”.

No one has anything really good to say about these products. They contain an ingredient called Argireline that is supposed to reduce face wrinkles by preventing muscle contractions and facial expressions.

 

The original research concerning this ingredient was positive, although no more than a 27% reduction in wrinkles was noted after 30 days of use. The research is not specific concerning the age of the volunteers.

 

The company does not fully disclose the other ingredients that they include in their products. But, according to consumer comments, they “clog the pores”, “feel greasy”, are the “consistency of chap-stick” and make lips “drier than ever”. Judging by this description, I am sure that the products contain mineral oils, petrolatum and paraffin wax, all of which are petroleum derivatives that will eventually increase the signs of aging.

The companies name may as well be “allergen”, considering almost all of the ingredients are prone to cause allergic reactions, even in people without sensitive skin. One customer, who says she does not have sensitive skin, used a test patch, as advised by the company, and awoke on the tenth day with redness, itching and an oatmeal textured rash.

 

There is nothing in the product that could be considered effective. The company still advises the daily use of sunscreen, a controversial suggestion. I would recommend that you avoid this product.

The most common reactions are like the ones mentioned above; redness, itching, rashes, clogged pores, etc. Some products cause pimples, which is a result of clogged pores. But, others cause serious changes in the skin’s texture and even increase face wrinkles.

 

If you don’t believe me, all you have to do is read more consumer reviews on wrinkle cream. I’ve had enough of them. I have found products that effectively reduce face wrinkles, without causing adverse reactions.

 

They are a relatively new line of products, so only a few comments have been reported, but all of them are positive. This isn’t your average company, either. In clinical studies, researchers measured a 44% improvement in firmness after only 18 days of use. After 28 days, 62% of volunteers reported significant wrinkle-reduction.

 

The extract has antioxidant activity, exceeding that of vitamin E. Antioxidants are necessary to repair wrinkles, caused by free radical damage from the sun and other environmental factors, as well as what naturally accompanies the aging process.

 

Dermatologists agree that free radicals are responsible for face wrinkles, while antioxidants prevent and repair the damage. Just shop carefully, to prevent unwanted reactions.

QVC/HSN Models Reactions/Experiences?

If anyone knows any of the models, what has their experience been like overall? The reason why I ask is because sometimes while I'm watching the shows (especially the beauty/cosmetics) ones, I find that the make-up artist selling their products are so rushed in making a sell, that they just slap the product on the models' faces without seeing if the product is even on correctly. Definitely makes for a couple of good chuckles. Case in point-- Adrien Arpel's Signature Club A line sold on HSN. What are some of your thoughts?

I couldn't agree with you more especially when Adrien's stuff is on!! OMG she just smears it on and those poor older women look like crap (at least in my opinion). The makeup never seems blended all the way in. I always end up calling my mom if she's home and making her put it on so we can make fun of that Adrien lady. lol
